Joel Campbell insists heading back to Real Betis is just like going home. The Costa Rican star completed a season-long loan move to the Seville club on Thursday. “When I left five years ago always thought of return,” Campbell said at his press conference. “It’s really exciting to return to the stadium, and when I found out about the interest I told my agent to ensure the deal was done – it feels like I’m coming home. “There have been a number of new faces into the side this summer and it is exciting for everyone, the club has grown since I was last here. “In football you never know where you will be from one season to the next and the important thing is to enjoy your football and continue to grow as a footballer.”

Liverpool will consider another bid for Thomas Lemar in January after failing with a deadline-day bid for the Monaco midfielder. The Anfield club joined Arsenal in launching a raid on the French club for the in-demand player. And according to reports in his homeland , Monaco rejected an £82million off from Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp had already completed the signing of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal on Thursday. But he wanted to add even more quality to the middle of the park. Arsenal themselves failed with a £92m bid

Angel Di Maria’s deadline day move to Barcelona broke down after Paris Saint-Germain demanded £64m (€70m). The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star has been a long-term target for the Blaugrana due to his close relationship with Lionel Messi. After grabbing Neymar from the Catalan giants, PSG were unprepared to sell one of their star players in the opposite direction. Barcelona were also left frustrated after being priced out of a move for Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho, who quoted a massive £183million (€200m). The Reds had maintained that the Brazilian was not for sale at any price but the Blaugrana’s director of professional sports Albert Soler has announced they received an ultimatum on deadline day.
